A free course from GOVBRM
AI Demand Shaping for BRMs.
The reasoning behind the AI Demand Toolkit, taught from the front door to the month-nine review, in six short units with a knowledge check in each. Self-paced, online. Free during the beta with a newsletter subscription; usually £25.
Why this course exists
- The toolkit gives you twenty canvases. This course explains why they are shaped the way they are, so you can adapt the method rather than fill in forms.
- Each unit ends by pointing at the canvases it explains, so you can apply it the same day, and each has a button that opens your own AI assistant with a practice prompt.
- Pass the final knowledge check and you generate the AI Demand Foundation certificate and digital badge, Tier 1 of GOVBRM Academy credential ladder.

Who it is for
Built for the person the AI request lands on.
- Business Relationship Managers and relationship-facing roles who receive AI requests from partners and have to work out what the request is actually for
- Anyone using the AI Demand Toolkit who wants the reasoning behind it explained end to end, not just the canvases handed to them
- People accountable for a portfolio of AI demand who need a method their team can apply consistently, not a one-off workshop
Six units
One unit for each stage of the front door.
-
Unit 1: The request is not the need
Why almost every AI request arrives as a solution in disguise, and how to write the need beneath it as one sentence the front door can rank.
-
Unit 2: Evidence before attention
Intake as a record rather than a judgement, readiness scored on what was seen in the room, and risk found at the Shape gate where it costs a conversation.
-
Unit 3: Value is not priority
Where relationship capital concentrates, how a shaped request earns its place against the whole portfolio, and what the executive view has to show.
-
Unit 4: A named owner and a number
The Commit gate, the lowest rung of autonomy that solves the problem, routing rules a person wrote, what the supplier's words mean, and who owns the thing after launch.
-
Unit 5: Deployment is not use
Who gains, who is disrupted, who can block and why they might be right; adoption measured from the work rather than from log-ins; and change described task by task.
-
Unit 6: Month nine
Benefits realised after handover, the review that puts measured value beside the committed number and sends the lesson back to the front door, and the roadmap that builds each prerequisite once.
-
Final knowledge check and certificate
Ten easy questions across all six units. Seven correct passes it, and the Generate certificate button appears: your AI Demand Foundation certificate and digital badge, drawn on your device with your name, ready for LinkedIn.
