Accessibility
Accessibility statement.
This statement applies to govbrm.com, including the AI Demand Toolkit, the free course, the Value Orchestration Workbook and the Academy pages. The site is built to meet the Web Content Accessibility Guidelines 2.2 at level AA. It has not yet been independently audited, and this page says plainly what has been done and what has not.
What is in place
Built to be read, keyed and printed.
- Static HTML pages with a single heading order, landmarks and a skip link to the main content
- Every control reachable and usable from the keyboard, with a visible focus ring
- Text and interface colours checked against the AA contrast ratio; nothing conveyed by colour alone, so a correct answer is also marked in words
- Layouts that reflow to a single column on narrow screens and at high zoom, with tables scrolling inside their own container
- Animation switched off for people who have asked their device for reduced motion
- No third-party scripts, trackers or embedded players; the only code that runs is the site's own
- Canvases and the workbook print cleanly, and answers autosave so nothing is lost if a session drops
- Images carry text alternatives; the operating model diagram has a written description and a zoomable view
Known limitations
What we know is not right yet.
- The site has not been tested with screen readers or by disabled users, and no independent WCAG 2.2 audit has been carried out; one is planned before the paid programmes open
- The toolkit is long and dense. The canvases collapse so that only one is open at a time, but a first visit is still a lot of content; a shorter operational layer is planned
- Certificates are generated as images (PNG and PDF). The accessible record of a credential is the text on the verification page and the credential ID, not the picture
- The course decrypts its text in the browser and needs JavaScript and a current browser over https
- Badges are images with text alternatives; their text is repeated on the page beside them

If something does not work for you.
Message the GOVBRM LinkedIn page with the page, what you were trying to do and the assistive technology you use, and it will be fixed or a working alternative provided. GOVBRM is a personal project rather than a public sector body, so the Public Sector Bodies Accessibility Regulations 2018 do not apply to it, but the site is held to the same standard because its readers work in organisations that are covered by them.
