Tier 2 · Track one · the front door
Certified AI Demand Strategist
For the person the AI request lands on. It certifies that you can find the need beneath a request, put a range and conditions on its value, score readiness on evidence, find the risk where it costs a conversation, rank the item against the whole portfolio and route it with reasons the requester can respect.
Syllabus
Session one
The demand landscape. Why AI demand is arriving faster than organisations can shape it, and where BRM sits in the line from ambition to value.
The request is not the need. The four-part need sentence, the trigger, the counterfactual, and the test of describing the problem without the tool.
Value as a range. The partner's unit, the lower bound they would act on, conditions for the upper half, potential kept apart from probability.
Evidence before attention. Intake as a record, readiness scored on what was seen, the weakest dimension deciding Go, Wait or Build prerequisites.
Session two
Risk at the Shape gate. The risk flag, the register row with a cause, an owner and a condition, and the four agent questions in outline.
Value is not priority. The value-against-volume map, ranking with shared criteria and weights, reasons the sponsor could repeat to their director.
The executive view. The portfolio heatmap: clusters, orphans and platform plays, and three decisions to put to leadership.
Routing and declining. The six routes, the honest decline, and the front door as a service the organisation can trust.
Scenario group activity
Between the two sessions, groups of three or four run a live front door: six realistic requests, each to be shaped, scored, ranked and routed, with the decision and its reasons presented back in session two. Toolkit canvases 01 to 08 are the working documents.
What is assessed
The need sentence closes and contains no tool, model or rung of autonomy
The value hypothesis is a range in the partner's unit with checkable conditions
The readiness verdict is decided by the weakest dimension and backed by evidence
The ranking uses the shared criteria and the reasons could be repeated by the sponsor
Each request ends in one of the six routes, and Discovery is not used as a polite decline

Tier 2 · Track two · after commit
Certified AI Value Orchestrator
For the person who has to make the committed number come true. It certifies that you can write a business case with typed, ranged benefits, choose the lowest rung of autonomy that solves the task, name the owner and book the review before the build is funded, measure adoption from the work, and run the month-nine review that puts measured value beside the number.
Syllabus
Session one
The Commit gate. What a fundable AI proposal contains, and what it is missing when it only contains enthusiasm.
The business case. Typed and ranged benefits, honest alternatives with an owner and a rough cost, and a pre-mortem.
The autonomy ladder. The lowest rung that solves the task, the four agent questions, and what the supplier's words mean.
Ownership after launch. The business owner, the product owner, and the month-nine review booked at commit.
Session two
Deployment is not use. Winners, the disrupted, influencers, resistors and hidden stakeholders; the objection that is right; adoption measures a supervisor could observe.
Workforce impact. Change described task by task, and a decision about where released time goes.
Benefits after handover. The evidence ledger, measurement owners, baselines, corrective triggers, and avoided cost written beside spend.
The three value conversations and month nine. Planning, realisation and optimisation, the Value Orchestration Workbook in practice, and the capability roadmap.
Scenario group activity
Between the two sessions, groups take one shaped proposal from the Commit gate to month nine: the business case, the rung, the owner, the adoption measures, and a simulated review in which the measured figures arrive and the group has to say what the gap means. Toolkit canvases 09 to 20 and the workbook are the working documents.
What is assessed
Benefits are typed, ranged and conditional, and the alternatives were taken seriously
The rung chosen is the lowest that solves the task, and the four agent questions are answered
A business owner is named and the month-nine review is booked before funding
Adoption measures are observable in the work, each with a failure trigger
The review puts measured value beside the committed number and sends a lesson back to the front door

Tier 3 · Capstone
Master AI Value Partner
Awarded to practitioners who hold both practitioner credentials. It recognises the whole line from the request at the front door to the value evidenced at month nine, and there is no further examination: the two tracks are the assessment. Credential ID GBRM-MP-2026-XXXX, listed in the registry alongside the two credentials it rests on.
Assessment standards
Three things, all of them, every time.
Attendance
Both live sessions, in full. A session missed for a good reason can be made up in the next cohort, and the credential is issued when both have been attended.
Scenario group activity
Groups of three or four work a realistic demand case through the gates the track covers and present the decision with its reasons. The facilitator assesses the group's work against the published criteria above, and every member of a group that meets them is credited. A group that falls short gets written feedback and one further attempt in the same cohort.
Knowledge check
Twenty questions, taken online after the second session, covering the whole syllabus. The pass mark is fourteen. A second attempt is allowed after a week; the questions test whether you can apply the reasoning, not whether you memorised the slides.
Guided learning hours
Each track is eight guided learning hours across the two live sessions, plus about three hours of preparation and the group activity between them. Record them as continuing professional development where your professional body accepts self-recorded CPD; the certificate states the hours.
Credential IDs, currency and withdrawal
Every practitioner credential carries an ID in the form GBRM-DS-2026-XXXX or GBRM-VO-2026-XXXX, where the year is the syllabus year. Credentials do not expire. A credential can be withdrawn, and the registry updated, if it was obtained or is used dishonestly, for example by presenting the certificate as an academic or third-party accredited qualification.
What the certificate says
The wording is the same on every practitioner certificate.

The Certified AI Value Orchestrator certificate reads "professional mastery in AI value orchestration" and the Master AI Value Partner certificate "professional mastery across the AI Demand Framework, from the front door to value realised". Certificates are issued as PDF within a week of the cohort ending, once the knowledge check is passed.
Dates and fees
Announced to subscribers first.
Open cohort dates and fees are set per cohort and published in the GOVBRM Newsletter before anywhere else. Organisations wanting a closed cohort, with the scenario built on their own demand pipeline, are quoted on cohort size through the GOVBRM LinkedIn page. Tier 1 is free during the beta (usually £25 a micro-course), and the micro-courses are the right place to start before either track.
